Did I really eat all that gelato?
Well, yes! But it's not quite so bad as it might look, since I usually had 2 or 3 flavors per cup. My record I think was 3 cups in one day, and I have to tell you that gelato makes a wonderful lunch ! :)

Probably won't bring next time...
Although this is a great pair of binoculars (and very small), I found that I didn't use them as much as I thought I would. In the quest for ever lighter travel, I think these will stay home next trip.

Odds and Ends

.
Here's the group!
Well, most of them anyway. I can't say enough about how great everyone was. As a solo traveler I had the usual fears (How will it work out with roommates that I don't know? Will I hit it off with someone to sightsee with during free time? Etc.), but they all proved groundless and I truly had a wonderful trip!

Favorite Things

Favorite Maps
They fold up like origami into a compact, pocket-sized,
3" x 4". I bought mine at a museum store...

Favorite Candy
The center is concentrated coffee syrup that crystallizes as it ages. Delicious!

Favorite Memento
Maybe because I bought this necklace with birthday money from my family, or maybe because I bought it in Vernazza, whatever the reasons, I adore it! Made by a local artist out of locally found seed pods...

Favorite Cheap Souvenir
Bookmarks - they're readily available, cheap, small, flat and lightweight - the perfect souvenir!

Favorite Out-of-the-Ordinary Museum
The Ferragamo Shoe Museum is located in a Medieval palazzo in Florence. Those of us who can't afford them, can at least look at them!
.

Favorite Alcoholic Beverage
You've probably heard of  the lemon liqueur called Lemoncello, but this is a different version that is cream-based. Note that the bottle is empty... :)
